Apartment Scheme in Historic Ropewalks Granted Planning Approval

A new 47 apartment scheme in the Ropewalks area of Liverpool City Centre has taken a step forward this week after Living Brick Ltd’s planning approval gained consent by City Planners.

Liverpool Contractor Crossfield Construction has been appointed to deliver the £4m project which will take approximately 12 months, with a design team consisting of Day Architectural and Shape Engineering.

‘The Chavasse Building’, situated on the corner of Lydia Ann Street and Suffolk Street will see the construction of boutique living spaces, along with a resident’s gymnasium, a Japanese inspired ‘Zen’ rooftop garden, and generous floor plans taking advantage of the expansive city views.  The living spaces comprises 20 micro apartments of around 34sqm with 18 one bedroom apartments averaging 50sqm, and the remaining units being two bedrooms of around 74 sqm.

The key focus for the scheme has been the provision of sustainable residential accommodation geared towards the requirements of modern, city centre living. All of the apartments are currently larger than the comparable competitor’s properties that are being marketed in relation to value per square foot.
